Vivek Johnson takes charge as District Collector of Beed

Beed, Apr 24 (UNI) Vivek Johnson, a 2018 batch IAS officer, assumed charge on Thursday as the District Collector of Beed.

Before being transferred here, Johnson served as the Chief Executive Officer of the ZP in Chandrapur in Vidharbha region.
After completing his engineering degree, he joined administrative services. During his probation period, he worked as the Chief Executive Officer of the Majalgaon Municipal Council here.
Upon assuming charge, Resident Deputy Collector Shivkumar Swami welcomed him on behalf of the administration.

Revenue department officials, including Tehsildar Narendra Kulkarni, were present at the occasion.

Johnson graduated as a Mechanical Engineer from NSS College, Palakkad and Joined the Indian Revenue Service (IRS) in 2016 and later the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) in 2018.

He was recipient of the 'Bal Snehi' award for remarkable work. Honored with the ‘Maharashtrian of the Year 2023’ award for public-oriented work and awarded the ‘Skoch Award’ for contributions to rural life, economy, and infrastructure development.
