Puri, Apr 12 (UNI) BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda on Saturday urged party MPs, MLAs, and leaders to visit villages and actively participate in various developmental initiatives of the government.
Inaugurating a two-day training programme for party MPs and MLAs, Nadda also advised them to raise awareness among rural populations about the achievements of both the state and central governments.
He emphasized the importance of reconnecting with the grassroots and encouraged elected representatives to regularly engage with the public.
Nadda instructed party MPs and MLAs to visit Anganwadi centers and Primary Health Centres in villages, spend time there, and witness firsthand the implementation of government schemes.
He also shared a 14-point "guru mantra" with state functionaries to help them gain the trust of the people. These points included ensuring effective coordination between the government and the party, and learning how to deliver impactful speeches to inform and engage the public about various central and state government welfare schemes.
In addition to JP Nadda, national organising secretary B. L. Santosh and Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi addressed the gathering.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Deputy Chief Ministers K. V. Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, all 20 Lok Sabha MPs from the state, state unit President Manmohan Samal, and 78 assembly members, including three independents, attended the programme.
The training programme, which began on Friday evening, will continue until April 13. During the event, MPs and MLAs will be trained in organisational functioning, governance, party ideology, and the execution of welfare schemes.
Nadda further advised leaders to maintain close contact with various communities in their constituencies, foster good relationships with government officials, and ensure the proper implementation of developmental programmes launched by both the state and central governments.
