NCP organising Mangal Kalash Rath Yatra across state to mark Maharashtra Day celebrations

Pune, Apr 26 (UNI) Nationalist Congress Party (NCP-AP) Pune president Deepak Mankar said here on Saturday that on the occasion of the 65th Maharashtra Day a grand 'Gauravshali Maharashtra Mahotsav' will be organised from May 1-4 at Mumbai, the financial capital of the country.
On the occasion of this festival, the Mangal Kalash Rath Yatra, which is being taken out across the entire state, was inaugurated from Kolhapur.

A meeting of the NCP's top leaders, city and assembly as well as women, youth, students and all cell office bearers was held at the party office Gupte Mangal hall today to welcome the Kalash Yatra which will arrive in Pune on April 29, he said.
The chariot which will come from Saswad, Sane Guruji Bhavan in Hadapsar and will be greeted at the palace of Krantisury Mahatma Jyotiba Phule and Savitri Mai Phule and then arrive at the holy Lal Mahal by touching the feet of Rajmata Jijau and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, said NCP Pune Working President Pradeep Deshmukh.
He said a grand procession will be taken out from Shaniwarwada to Kesariwada. Soil from every part of Maharashtra, enriched by the residence of great men and inspired by their great works, water brought from special rivers and confluences, will be collected in these auspicious kalash and will be brought to Mumbai on the occasion of Maharashtra Day, he added.
Thousands of party workers were present at Gupte Hall today to discuss and make a grand success of the Kalash Rath Yatra, he added.
