Avantel secures Rs 43.25 Cr Order from NSIL for supply of 45,252 devices for Xponder's

Hyderabad, Feb 24 (UNI) Avantel Limited on Monday announced it has secured an order from NewSpace India Limited (NSIL) valued at Rs 43.25 crore (including taxes) for supply of 45,252 devices for Xponder’s, which will be deployed on marine fishing vessels to enhance security across India's coastal regions.
NSIL, the commercial arm of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), is a Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Department of Space.
The collaboration exemplifies the synergy between public sector enterprises and private industry in advancing India's technological capabilities and maritime security, the company said in a release here.
Avantel has already got two supply orders for supply of 26,743 Xponder units and establishment of the Ground Segment Hub for the Vessel Communication and Support System. These deployments shall strengthen monitoring, control, and surveillance capabilities, thereby contributing to maritime security and operational efficiency in the fisheries sector.
Siddhartha Abburi, Director, Avantel Limited, stated, "This order strengthens our efforts to provide communication solutions for maritime safety and efficiency. Our Xponder devices demonstrate Avantel's focus on technology for India's maritime infrastructure".
The execution of this order is slated for completion by August 2025.
Avantel Limited specializes in designing, developing, and maintaining advanced communication products, radar systems, and network management software applications, primarily catering to the aerospace and defense sectors.
