MakeMyTrip launches AI-Powered ‘Collections’ for personalized hotels, homestays

New Delhi, Mar 21 (UNI) Online travel company MakeMyTrip on Friday said it has introduced 'Collections', an AI-powered feature designed to make hotel and homestay discovery simpler, smarter, and more personalized.

With a vast inventory of 86,000 plus domestic accommodations across over 2,000 cities on the platform, finding the perfect stay can often be overwhelming. ‘Collections’ aims to address this challenge by leveraging Generative AI (GenAI) and deep traveler insights to intelligently categorize stay options into curated themes, helping users find accommodations that best match their travel needs and preferences, MMT said in a release.

By aligning the unique appeal of each destination with the traveler’s core interests, the AI-driven model analyses past search intent, bookings patterns, and customer reviews to deliver an intuitive and hyper-personalized experience. Whether it is Beach Paradise and Luxury Retreats in Goa, Stays with Private Ghats and Yogic Abodes in Rishikesh, or Wellness Retreats or Adventure Escapes in Coorg, ‘Collections’ refines recommendations in real-time.

Moreover, it continuously learns from user interactions, ensuring smarter recommendations with every search. For example, a frequent luxury traveler will see high-end hotel recommendations aligned with their past bookings, while a budget-conscious traveler will receive options optimized for affordability.

Similarly, families searching for kid-friendly accommodations will find stays that prioritize safety and child-friendly amenities — helping every traveler make faster, smarter, and more informed booking decisions.

Abhishek Logani, Chief Business Officer – Hotels at MakeMyTrip, said, “We are constantly innovating to enhance the way travelers discover and book accommodations on MakeMyTrip. With ‘Collections,’ we’re leveraging GenAI to solve one of the biggest challenges in travel — finding the perfect stay. The feature is already live across 30 plus major leisure and pilgrimage destinations, and we are rapidly expanding it to more cities, ensuring that travelers find accommodation options truly personalized to their needs.”

Building on its commitment to innovation, MakeMyTrip continues to introduce products that help users find the perfect destination, property, or service. The company has introduced several innovations in recent months, including ‘Loved By Devotees’ for pilgrimage travelers and flexible booking options like Book With Zero, Flexible Check-in and more.
