Mumbai, Mar 7 (UNI) Snapping a winning streak of the last two sessions, the BSE Sensex on Friday declined 7.51 pts at 74,332.58 as selling was seen in Consumer Durable, Realty and IT stocks.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE), on the other hand, rose 7.80 pts at 22,552.50.
The market remained volatile, as the Sensex opened at 74,347.15, rising 7 pts. It advanced by 246 pts at 74,586.43, the days high.
Later it erased earlier gains and dropped 302 pts at 74,038.03, the days low, before closing at 74,332.58, easing 7.51 pts from its previous close.
The Nifty registered the day's high at 22,633.80 and low at 22,464.75 pts.
The stocks that slipped were Consumer Durable by 1.11 pc, IT by 0.83 pc and Realty by 0.75 pc.
The Mid-cap fell 0.30 pc, while the Small cap went up 0.75 pc.
In 30 scrips, 12 advanced and 18 declined
The losers were IndusInd Bank by 3.71 pc to Rs 935, Zomato by 3.64 pc to Rs 217.20, NTPC by 2.29 pc to Rs 330, and Infosys by 1.62 pc to Rs 1684.50
The gainers were Reliance industries by 3.01 pc to Rs 1247, Tata Motors by 1.28 pc to Rs 648.45, Nestle India Ltd by 0.92 pc to Rs 2222 and Ultracemco by 0.77 pc to Rs 10,570.05. UNI NV SSP
