Bengaluru, Feb 22 (UNI) Peps Industries Private Limited, India’s leading sleep solutions brand, has set an ambitious target to achieve Rs 1,000 crore in revenue over the next five years by expanding into untapped markets in eastern, western, and northern India.
"As of now, the company has generated Rs 500 crore in revenue and aims to double it to Rs 1,000 crore within the next five years," Peps Industries Co-Founder and CEO G Shankar Ramm told reporters here on Saturday.
Currently, 90 percent of Peps' retail stores are concentrated in South India. The company plans to leverage the latest technologies to drive sales and achieve its revenue goal. Peps is also considering an initial public offering (IPO) in future, he said.
Despite its growing presence, Peps has refrained from selling its products on Ikea’s platform, citing a preference against its products being labelled under the Swedish retail giant's brand, Ramm said.
"Since its inception, Peps has pioneered advancements in India's sleep industry. It was one of the few brands that ventured into the market when others hesitated, redefining the concept of sleep from a necessity to an experience of comfort, health, and security. The company entered into a 30-year license agreement with Restonic Corporation of the USA, making it perhaps the only Indian mattress manufacturer with such a long-term partnership," the CEO added.
In its inaugural year (2006-07), Peps manufactured 8,700 mattresses. By 2013-14, production had soared to 1.48 lakh mattresses, ushering in a revolution in India’s sleep culture. "Today, the company produces over 3 lakh spring mattresses annually, generating a turnover of Rs 325 crore in the spring segment alone. With a workforce of 1,250 employees, 6,000 retail partners, and 150 Great Sleep Stores, Peps has become a leader in the Indian spring mattress market," he said.
Innovation has been at the core of Peps’ growth. It was the first Indian company to introduce Memory Foam-backed Spine Guard mattresses, a flagship product designed to alleviate back pain. The brand also launched Organica, a 100 per cent organic mattress range focused on comfort and sustainability.
Peps has recently launched a new range of luxurious mattresses designed for the Bengaluru market, reinforcing its commitment to innovation and affordability. The new series includes Peps Comfort, Peps Supreme, and Peps Restonic Memory Foam, catering to consumers’ evolving sleep health needs.
Ramm said, "The launch of our new mattress collections in Bengaluru reinforces Peps’ commitment to innovation, quality, and affordability. With consumers prioritizing superior sleep solutions, our latest range—Peps Comfort, Peps Supreme, and Peps Restonic Memory Foam—meets their needs perfectly. Combining cutting-edge technology with eco-friendly materials, we are setting new benchmarks for comfort and durability."
Peps Comfort is designed with high-carbon, non-oiled steel wire for enhanced durability and sag resistance. The mattress features advanced European technology and is crafted with iron-resistant flat-knitted polyester fabric and 93% biodegradable materials, offering an eco-friendly sleep solution.
Peps Supreme incorporates zero-disturbance pocketed springs, ensuring an undisturbed sleep experience by eliminating motion transfer between partners.
The Peps Restonic Memory Foam collection includes two variants—Peps Sanibel Bonnell Plush Memory Foam and Peps Ardene Pocketed Plush Memory Foam. The former integrates temperature and pressure-sensitive breathable memory foam with high-carbon Tata Steel bonnell springs, while the latter offers a luxury experience with zero motion transfer.
With 60 Great Sleep Stores and 530 multi-brand stores across Karnataka, Peps continues to expand its footprint and strengthen its presence in the Indian mattress industry.
