Sadhguru's app outpaces ChatGPT’s early adoption

Bengaluru, Feb 28 (UNI) In an extraordinary milestone, Miracle of Mind, a free meditation app launched by spiritual leader Sadhguru, has achieved over 1 million downloads within just 15 hours of its release. The app’s rapid adoption has outpaced that of ChatGPT’s initial growth, setting a new benchmark in digital wellness solutions.
The app has swiftly gained traction across 20 countries, including India, the USA, Canada, the UK, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Germany, Kenya, and the UAE, indicating a growing global interest in meditation as a mainstream approach to mental wellness.
Available in English, Hindi, Tamil, Russian, and Spanish, 'Miracle of Mind' offers a 7-minute guided meditation that has gone viral, resonating with users for its simplicity and effectiveness. Beyond meditation, the app also features an AI-powered tool that provides personalised insights from Sadhguru’s extensive teachings, further enhancing its appeal.
Taking to social media platform X, Sadhguru highlighted the pressing need for mental well-being, stating, "It is expected that by 2050, about 30-33% of the world's population would be mentally ill. This is because we always think that solutions to our challenges are outside of us. All the solutions are within us, but we have no 'Inward access.' The 'Miracle of Mind' app will teach you how to build this access. Every one of you must invest 7 minutes every day to make this happen for yourselves and for everyone around you. Let's make it happen. –Sg"
The app’s success comes at a crucial time when mental health concerns are at an all-time high. Reports indicate that nearly 60 to 70 million people in India suffer from common and severe mental disorders. The country also holds the grim distinction of recording the highest number of suicides globally. According to the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), 1.71 lakh people committed suicide in India in 2022, with the suicide rate rising to 12.4 per 1,00,000—the highest ever recorded.
With its growing global popularity, 'Miracle of Mind' is poised to play a transformative role in making meditation accessible and impactful for millions worldwide. UNI BDN SSP
