Nitish asks police to work with full diligence for better law and order

Patna, May 14 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, to improve the law and order situation of the state, asked the police personnel to work with full diligence to maintain better law and order and to instil the confidence of the people in the police.
While reviewing the performance of the Home Department and Disaster Management Department at the police headquarters here on Tuesday, Kumar, accompanied by the Water Resources cum Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Disaster Management Minister Vijay Kumar Mandal and senior authorities of the state asked the police personnel to live up to the expectations of the people who have full faith in them. He also directed them to deliver with full diligence to maintain better law and order.
Kumar reviewed the law and order situation, policing and other activities. He issued necessary instructions for maintaining law and order.
The Chief Minister asked the police personnel to reach the office on time and discharge their responsibilities with utmost care.
While inspecting the State Emergency Operations Centre, the Chief Minister inquired about the arrangements and working methods there. Dubbing it as most
useful centre, he said that it should be operated in a better manner so that the people of the state can get its benefits.
Apprising the Chief Minister about the working method of the State Emergency Operations Centre, Development Commissioner cum Additional Chief Secretary of Disaster Management Department, Pratyaya Amrit said that the centre operates round the clock. Information about the state's weather, temperature and various disaster-related activities was available at the centre.
During his visit, Kumar inspected various Departments operating under the Bihar state Disaster Management Authority and held a meeting with the senior officers of the authority.
The Chief Minister asked them to perform constantly to save people from disasters.
