Cong MLA demands action against corruption in National Institutes

Agartala, Mar 26 (UNI) Former BJP Minister and Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman demanded an inquiry into alleged malpractices and corruption in the recruitment of teaching and non-teaching staff at Tripura (Central) University, National Institute of Technology, National Law University, and Forensic University.
He alleged in the assembly that in connivance with a group of top bureaucrats of the administration, the authorities of these institutions sold the job to outsiders and openly made racial and insulting comments against the local people. "Despite sufficient qualification, experience, and performance, National Law University authority extended probation of five brilliant local teachers, stating them under qualified and unskilled".
“Verbally, they were told to look for a job outside in the next year, because some people from other states are waiting to join here. Also, huge corruption and malpractices are being done by the authority with the help of a section of Tripura administration, which needs to be investigated and ensure the interest of the local talents,” Roy Barman told Chief Minister.
