Odisha Congress activists gherao CM’s residence to protest rising atrocities against Women

Bhubaneswar, Mar 1 (UNI) Activists from various frontal wings of the Odisha Congress staged a protest demonstration outside Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi’s official residence on Saturday, condemning the rising atrocities against women in the state.
Led by newly elected party President Bhakta Charan Das, members of the District Congress, Mahila Congress, Youth Congress, and Chhatra Congress marched from the party office to the Chief Minister’s residence, carrying placards and posters.
When Congress members attempted to breach the police barricade to reach the CM’s house, security forces intervened, preventing the agitators from advancing and forcefully detaining some Congress leaders in a police van.
