Arunachal: Miss AAPSU 2025 contestants take up cleanup drive at Yagamso river

Itanagar, Mar 3 (UNI) Contestants of the Miss AAPSU 2025 pageant took a break from their preparations to engage in a meaningful cause—cleaning up a stretch of the Yagamso river inside IG Park in Itanagar on Monday.
As part of an initiative marking World Wildlife Day, the young women cleared approximately 1,700 kgs of waste, reaffirming their commitment to environmental conservation. The cleanup drive was jointly organized by the Youth Mission for Clean River (YMCR) and Miss AAPSU Organizing team, with support from Itanagar Smart City.
Speaking at the event, Khoda Yallam, AAPSU Women Cell general secretary and Miss AAPSU organizing chairperson, highlighted the value of hands-on learning for the 28 contestants representing diverse tribes from across Arunachal Pradesh.
