Arunachal Guv greets people on Unying Aran Festival eve

Itanagar, Mar 6 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt General (Red) KT Parnaik on Thursday extended his warm greetings to the people of the State on the eve of the Adi community’s Unying Aran Festival.
He expressed hope that the vibrant celebration of the Adi community would continue to showcase the cultural richness and diversity of the State.
The Unying Aran, celebrated every March, is a traditional hunting festival observed by the Adi tribes. A key feature of this festival is rodent trapping, which plays a vital role in controlling pests before the planting of the main crop, rice.
