Odisha govt to preserve birthplace of Utkal Gourav Madhusudan Das

Bhubaneswar, Mar 14 (UNI) The Odisha government will take all necessary steps to preserve the birthplace of Utkal Gourav Madhusudan Das, Minister of Law, Works, and Excise Prithviraj Harichandan said.
The Minister, who reviewed the development of the birthplace and workplace of Utkal Gourav Madhusudan Das, stated that the life and ideals of Madhusudan Das are unparalleled.
From the formation of an independent Utkal Pradesh to the freedom struggle, Madhusudan’s contributions have been inscribed in golden letters in history.
The preservation and development of the birthplace and workplace of this great Yogjanma is a primary responsibility of the state government, Harichandan said. “Our government is committed to fulfilling this responsibility properly,” he added while presiding over a review meeting on Friday.
During the meeting, the Minister discussed with departmental officers, district administration, and officials from various trusts and institutions the steps to be taken for the development of Madhubabu's birthplace—Entudishal, Madhu Kothi, Balipokhari, and his workplace.
Additionally, he emphasized the construction of a parking lot, library, multipurpose center, scenic house, and museum, along with the preservation of all existing heritage sites in their natural form.
Since Madhubabu’s life is deeply connected with the sentiments and respect of the people of Odisha, Harichandan directed district administration officials to ensure that the memory of that era is preserved during the renovation of the shrine.
