RJD MLA demands Bharat Ratna award for Lalu

Patna, Mar 28 (UNI) RJD MLA Mukesh Kumar Raushan on Wednesday demanded Bharat Ratna award for party president Lalu Prasad Yadav for his immense contribution in empowering poor and deprived section of the society.
Raushan while raising the issue through private member bill in House during its post lunch sitting said that RJD leader Lalu Prasad had immensely contributed in empowering deprived and poor of the society. Lalu was one of the top leaders of the country giving voice to voiceless, he pointed out.
" Keeping in view the immense contribution of Lalu, Bihar government should send a proposal to the Centre recommending Bharat Ratna award for for him ", he stressed. Lalu deserved Bharat Ratna award and Bihar government should strongly recommend his name for being felicitated with highest civilian award of the country, he advocated.
