Quota in private sector, judiciary to be implemented under RJD rule: Tejashwi

Patna, May 2 (UNI) Leader of Opposition in the Bihar assembly Tejashwi Yadav said if the RJD-led government returned to power in Bihar, it would implement reservation in private sector, contractual appointments and in judiciary, besides the remaining recommendations of Mandal Commission. It would also make a provision of reservation in accordance with the proportion of the population, he added.
Yadav said on social media X that the caste census was only the beginning, a full picture was yet to be revealed.
Once his party formed the government in Bihar after the state assembly elections due in October-November this year, Yadav said it would carve out constituencies reserved for backward/most backward classes. He will also strongly take up with the Centre the issue of a special status and economic package for Bihar.
