N-E CMs hail Indian armed forces

Shillong, May 7 (UNI) Chief Ministers of the northeastern states on Wednesday hailed the Indian armed forces for carrying out 24 precision missile strikes on nine terror targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK).

Taking to X, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma posted, “Jai hind #OperationSindoor". This is New India… India knows how to respond to its enemies.”

Reacting to India’s ‘Operation Sindoor’, striking high-value terror targets deep inside Pakistani territory, Meeghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma wrote on X, “India remembers and India fights back. There is no room for terrorism. Jai Hind.”

Praising the armed forces, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu said, “Operation Sindoor is not just a mission. It is a reflection of India’s values in action. A powerful moment of symbolism and strength.”

Saluting the Indian armed forces Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang said, “Operation Sindoor stands as a powerful symbol of India’s resolve against terror. I salute our brave soldiers who delivered swift justice for the Pahalgam terror attack. Their courage protects our sovereignty and upholds the dignity of every Indian mother who wears sindoor with pride and freedom.”

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha also wrote on X : “Jai Hind Bharat Mata Ki Jai”.

Echoing his former counterparts, former Manipur Chief Minister Nongthombam Biren Singh posted on X, “The wounds of Pahalgam still ache, but today, justice has begun to answer. Jai Hind!”

India launched its military strikes code-named Operation Sindoor through coordinated efforts of the Army, Indian Air Force and Indian Navy two weeks after the deadly Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 lives.
