Tiranga Yatra held in Shillong to salute Indian armed forces

Shillong, May 16 (UNI) Tiranga Yatra was held in here in Meghalaya on Friday to honour and express solidarity with armed forces who defended the nation during the recent hostilities with Pakistan.
Senior BJP leaders including Meghalaya Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Minister, Alexander Laloo Hek, religious leaders, civil society groups and community leaders took part in the Tiranga Yatra which started from BJP headquarters here in Meghalaya to the Rhino Prerna Sthal.
Armed with the Indian flag, people yatra, people raised loud slogans of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’, ‘Armed Forces Zindabad’ and ‘Pakistan Murdabad’,
“Tiranga Yatra is held as a non-party event in various places across the country. The Yatra is being taken out across the country to honour the bravery and sacrifice of India’s defence forces following the successful execution of Operation Sindoor. We are proud of them,” Hek said.
