Customs officials seize exotic Reptile species at Biju Patnaik International Airport

Bhubaneswar, Mar 29 (UNI) Customs officials on Saturday seized several exotic reptile species from a package at Biju Patnaik International Airport and detained a youth for interrogation.
According to official sources, customs officials inspected a suspicious package belonging to a passenger arriving from Bangkok during cargo screening. To their surprise, they discovered nine king snakes, ten chameleons, twelve tortoises, and several monitor lizards inside.
A youth from Chennai carrying the package was immediately detained by customs officials for questioning.
