PM Modi meets with Tesla chief Elon Musk, interacts with his three children

Washington/New Delhi, Feb 13 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi today met with Tesla chief Elon Musk and his family at Blair House. The PM interacted with the multi-billionaire US businessman’s three young children during the meeting.
The PM said in posts on X:
“Had a very good meeting with @elonmusk in Washington DC. We discussed various issues, including those he is passionate about such as space, mobility, technology and innovation.
“I talked about India’s efforts towards reform and furthering ‘Minimum Government, Maximum Governance.’”
The PM said it was a delight to meet Musk’s family. He is seen in photos talking to the children, two boys and a girl. Two of the children, one boy and girl, are seen sitting on the carpet in front of the PM and looking at magazines or books. The PM is talking to them, while Musk is looking on smiling indulgently.
In another photo, the PM is seen handing over gifts to the young kids.
“It was also a delight to meet Mr. @elonmusk’s family and to talk about a wide range of subjects!”, the PM posted on X.
Among those present at the meeting were External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, NSA Ajit Doval, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri and Indian Ambassador to the US Vinay Mohan Kwatra.
A readout said that Elon Musk, Head of the US Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and CEO of Tesla called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi today.
“Prime Minister and Mr. Musk discussed strengthening collaboration between Indian and US entities in innovation, space exploration, artificial intelligence, and sustainable development.
“Their discussion also touched on opportunities to deepen cooperation in emerging technologies, entrepreneurship and good governance.
“Mr. Musk was accompanied by family members for the meeting.”
The MEA spokesperson said in a post on X:
“Mr. @elonmusk, Head of the U.S. Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) & CEO of Tesla called on PM @narendramodi.
“Discussions centred on strengthening India-US collaboration in innovation, space exploration, artificial intelligence, & sustainable development.
“They also explored opportunities to deepen cooperation in emerging technologies & entrepreneurship.
“Mr. @elonmusk was accompanied by his family members to the meeting.”
The meeting with Musk lasted around an hour, and followed PM Modi’s meeting with US NSA Mike Waltz.
