New Delhi, Mar 7 (UNI) BJP leader and Supreme Court Advocate Ajay Agrawal today said he has spoken to Michael Hershman, a US-based private investigator, regarding his claim about possessing "new information" in relation to the 35-year-old Bofors Gun deal scam.
Agrawal, who has been pursuing the scandal in the Supreme Court, said the telephonic talk was "productive" and Hershman has expressed "his willingness to meet and share new information".
The Bofors scandal shook the national polity in the late 1980s after allegations emerged that Rs 64 crore were paid as a bribe in the Rs 1437 crore deal between the Governments of India and Swedish arms manufacturer AB Bofors for the purchase of 410 155 mm Howitzer field guns.
