Delhi Govt to test air raid sirens, asks public not to panic

New Delhi, May 9 (UNI) The Directorate of Civil Defence on Friday will test the air raid sirens installed at the PWD Headquarters, ITO at 3 pm.



According to a Delhi government statement, the siren will be carried out for 15-20 minutes and general public has been adviced not to panic during the exercise.



“The testing will commence at 3pm and will be carried out for 15-20 minutes,” the statement said.



"Accordingly it is requested that adequate publicity may be made through social and electronic media so that general public are advised to stay calm and not to panic during the said exercise," the statement added.

New Delhi, May 9 (UNI) India today said that it raised concerns over the efficacy of the International Monetary Fund’s programmes in the case of Pakistan given Islamabad’s poor track record, and also on the possibility of misuse of debt financing funds for state sponsored cross-border terrorism. India abstained from voting on the IMF’s bailout package for Pakistan.
