Former Punjab BJP minister's residence under attack

Jalandhar, Apr 8 (UNI) Former Punjab BJP minister and senior leader Manoranjan Kalia, whose residence at central town came under attack last night, accused police of not responding to call.
He said his security in-charge Nishan Singh tried to contact police over telephone, but the call was not responded.
Kalia said the CCTV footage has confirmed that the assailant came in an e-rickshaw which first crossed the house and then immediately returned followed by a motor cyclist.
One of the occupants alighted from the e-rickshaw and hurled the grenade causing damage to the entrance door, window panes and a car parked inside the house.
He said the e-rickshaw soon after the blast fled towards Jalandhar Railway station side.
Kalia alleged that the law and order situation in the state, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, has been nosediving with everyday passing day.
He further alleged that none is safe in the state.
