Elderly woman strangled to death in UP

Barabanki (UP), Apr 1 (UNI) A 75-year-old woman was strangled to death by unidentified persons after tying her with the cot in Mohammadpur Khala area of Barabanki district here in Uttar Pradesh, police sources said here on Tuesday.
Police sources said that Kanchana Devi (75), a resident of Chandrapur village, was strangled to death in her own house. "When the door did not open till late on Tuesday morning, the neighbours became suspicious and entered the house. Kanchana's body was found tied to a cot," they said.
Police sources said that according to the villagers Kanchana has three sons Ashok, Nanh and Suresh. "They live in Lucknow and work as labourers. The villagers informed them about the incident," they said.
