Ban on flying drones, bursting crackers in Himachal's Una

Shimla/ Una (HP), May 10 (UNI) The Una district administration has imposed a complete ban on flying drones and bursting crackers in Una district.

This order has been issued keeping in mind the current tense situation between India and Pakistan, said an official spokesman here today.

District Magistrate and chairman of district disaster management authority Jatin Lal has issued these orders under Section 33 and 34 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005.

This order will remain in force till further orders. In case of violation of orders, strict action will be taken against the person or organization under the Disaster Management Act, 2005 and other relevant laws.

Meanwhile, the DC said that a suspicious metal piece has been reported to have fallen in a non-populated area in Behad Bhated village under Bharwain area of Amb subdivision of Una district last night. This incident is said to have taken place around 1:30 am on the intervening night of May 9 and 10.

On the information given by the local citizens, the police team immediately reached the spot and ensured security arrangements. In the preliminary investigation, this metal piece has been found to be inactive and there is no report of any loss of life or damage to property.

Lal said that the district administration has informed the Army about the incident. A team of experts has reached the spot and is conducting a technical investigation of the suspicious object.

The Deputy Commissioner has appealed to the citizens to stay away from rumours and trust only the information received from authorized sources. He said that there is no need to panic, it is important to be alert and aware.
