HCBA members go on indefinite strike against repatriation of Justice Verma

Prayagraj, Mar 25 (UNI) Members of the High Court Bar Association (HCBA) on Tuesday started an indefinite strike in protest against the Supreme Court Collegium's recommendation to repatriate Delhi High Court judge Yashwant Verma to the Allahabad High Court.
The advocates of the Allahabad High Court expressed their views against the repatriation by putting up a tent outside Gate Number 3. They raised slogans declaring a do-or-die protest against Justice Verma, from whose house bundles of currency notes were allegedly found.
The advocates performed yagya outside the gate and are reciting Hanuman Chalisa. However, Litigants are not being stopped from entering the court. General Secretary of HCBA Vikrant Pandey said that yagya was performed and Hanuman Chalisa is being recited for the good sense of the judges of the SC.
