Eid celebrated with fervour and gaiety across UP

Lucknow, Mar 31 (UNI) The festival of Eid ul Fitr was celebrated with fervour and gaiety across Uttar Pradesh, including the capital Lucknow, amid tight security arrangements on Monday.
On this occasion, prayers were offered for the progress and peace of the country in all the major mosques and Eidgahs. In Lucknow, Eid prayers were offered at 10 AM in Aishbagh Eidgah, while thousands of people offered Eid prayers at 11 AM in Asifi Masjid Bada Imambara and at 9 AM in Teele Wali Masjid.
Women also offered prayers at Aishbagh Eidgah. Special arrangements were made on this occasion. The police administration was in alert mode regarding Eid and Navratri. The police had made special arrangements to ensure that Eid prayers were conducted safely.
The help of CCTV and drones was taken to keep an eye on mischievous elements in religious places and surrounding areas.
Pleased with the excellent arrangements on Eid in Rampur, Samajwadi Party (SP) MP Mohibullah Nadvi expressed gratitude to the district administration. "Very good arrangements, thank you from the bottom of my heart to the officers," he said.
Eid prayers were offered peacefully in Saharanpur. After the prayers at Eidgah, people greeted each other. Police and administrative officials greeted the Namazis. During this time, an atmosphere of harmony and peace prevailed in the city.
In Sambhal, thousands of people offered Eid prayers at the main Eidgah and prayed for brotherhood and peace in the country amid tight security arrangements. SP MP Zia Ur Rahman Barq also offered prayers. During this time, a large number of police officers including the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police, were present.
In Kaushambi district, Eid ul Fitr prayers were performed peacefully in an atmosphere of brotherhood. People hugged each other and wished each other Eid Mubarak.
SP Brijesh Srivastava and DM Madhusudan Hulgi took stock of the security arrangements during this time. Sensitive places were constantly monitored through drones to keep an eye on suspicious activities.
The festival of Eid ul Fitr was celebrated peacefully with joy and enthusiasm amidst tight security in Pratapgarh district. A large number of Namazis offered Eid prayers in mosques other than Eidgah and greeted each other by hugging. On this occasion, to maintain law and order, the police kept a strict vigil with drone cameras around crowded places and places with mixed populations.
DM Shiv Sahay Awasthi and SP Dr Anil Kumar reached the prayer place Eidgah in Bhulia Pur of Kotwali Nagar and gave chocolates to the children and wished them Eid ul Fitr.
On the occasion of Eid, malls, zoos, cinema halls, and other public places were bustling with activity. People reached these places to roam around after offering prayers. Children wearing new clothes and netted caps were seen enjoying this happy occasion to the fullest.
The streets were filled with the mild fragrance of vermicelli. People expressed their love by hugging each other and feeding each other Seviyan. The spirit of Eid was also at its peak on social media. All platforms, including Facebook, and WhatsApp were flooded with congratulatory messages.
