Murder accused sentenced to rigorous life imprisonment

Bulandshahr (UP), Apr 3 (UNI) A man was sentenced to rigorous life imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 7,000 by a local court for a murder in the Dibai area of Bulandshahr district in Uttar Pradesh, a prosecution counsel said here.
Public Prosecutor Nitin Tyagi said that Kanhaiya, a resident of Sarai Bairuni locality under Dibai police station, killed Khemkaran of his own village by inflicting serious injuries on his head and private parts in 2005. "The police had registered a case on July 31, 2005 and sent the charge sheet to the court on September 21, 2005," he said.
He said that based on the testimony of witnesses and evidence available on record the court of Additional District Judge Vinit Chaudhary held the accused Kanhaiya guilty and sentenced him to rigorous life imprisonment with the fine of Rs 7,000.
