Court accepts bail of Cong MP Rakesh Rathore

Sitapur (UP), Mar 18 (UNI) Congress MP Rakesh Rathore, who was arrested on charges of sexually exploiting a woman, was granted bail by a local court in Sitapur here in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday, prosecution sources said here.
Prosecution sources said that after hearing the arguments of the prosecution and the opposition, the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Gaurav Prakash approved the bail plea of the MP and ordered his release.
Prosecution sources said that on behalf of MP Rathore, advocate VK Singh presented his arguments on Section 69 of the BNS. "The counsel of the government opposed the bail plea. After hearing the prosecution and the opposition, the court reserved its decision in the afternoon and granted bail to Rakesh Rathore in the afternoon," they said.
Prosecution sources said that despite getting bail, the MP will be released on Wednesday. Lawyers said that whoever is sent to jail by the court by 4 pm on bail bond, he is released the same day and in the order sent after this, release will be done the next day on Wednesday.
