Op Sindoor: Kharge lauds armed forces, calls for national unit

New Delhi, May 7 (UNI) Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Wednesday lauded the armed forces for hitting terror camps in Pakistan and PoK and said India maintains an unflinching national policy against all forms of cross-border terror.
On his social media handle X, Kharge said, "India has an unflinching national policy against all forms of terrorism emanating from Pakistan and PoK".
He said, "We are extremely proud of our armed forces who have stuck terror camps in Pakistan and PoK. We applaud their resolve and courage".
Kharge said that since the day of the Pahalgam terror attack, the Congress has categorically stood with the armed forces and the government to take any decisive action against cross-border terror.
Stating that national unity and solidarity is the need of the hour, Kharge said, "Congress stands with our armed forces. Our leaders have shown the path in the past, and national interest is supreme for us".
Meanwhile, leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi in a post on X said, "Proud of our armed forces. Jai Hind!"
Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh too said that the Congress stands firmly with the armed forces.
He said, "India's commitment to eliminating all sources of terrorism in Pakistan and PoK has necessarily to be uncompromising and always be anchored in the supreme national interest".
"This is a time for unity and solidarity. Right from the night of April 22nd, the INC has been categorically stating that the Govt will have our fullest support in the nation’s response to the Pahalgam terror attack. The INC is standing firmly with our armed forces," Ramesh said.
The Indian armed forces launched ‘Operation Sindoor', and targeted nine terrorist infrastructures in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir from where terrorist attacks against India have been planned and directed.
