Abu Road (Sirohi), Apr 8 (UNI) Rajyogini Dadi Ratanmohini, the centenarian spiritual leader and chief of Brahmakumaris, died early Tuesday, the spiritual organisation announced.
She was 101 years old. Dadi breathed her last at 1-20 AM at Zydis Hospital in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
Many dignitaries, including President Draupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, have condoled her death.
Her body has been kept for the last rites in the auditorium of Shantivan Ashram, the headquarters of Brahma Kumari Ishwariya Vishwavidyalaya in Abu Road, Rajasthan.
According to Brahma Kumaris, Dadi Rajmohini will be cremated on April 10 at 10 AM.
Dadi Ratanmohini, who joined Brahmakumaris at the age of 13, dedicated her entire life to social welfare. Even at the age of 101, Dadi would begin her day early in the morning at 3-30 am in the Brahma Muhurta. First of all, she used to meditate.Raja Yoga meditation was a part of her daily routine.
Dadi Ratanmohini was born on March 25, 1925, in a simple family of Sindh Hyderabad. Her parents named her Lakshmi. Since childhood, Lakshmi had a passion for spirituality and a desire to attain God.
Dadi was a witness to the 87-year journey of Brahma Kumaris from its inception in 1937 till today.
