People of India accept BJP as their party: Ashok Koul

Srinagar, Feb 9 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state General Secretary Ashok Koul on Sunday said that the people of India have owned and accepted BJP as their party.
Koul said this on Sunday in reply to a question regarding the BJP’s victory in Delhi Assembly elections.
"The voters and the people of India have owned and accepted BJP as their party”, the BJP leader said
He said that these elections were held in Jammu and Kashmir or Haryana or Maharashtra and now in Delhi have proven that the voters of India are with BJP.
Koul hoped that the elections would be held in Bihar in November, and the BJP would move forward.
“I am sure that BJP will move ahead and will earn a majority in the upcoming elections of Panchayat and Municipality in Jammu and Kashmir also”, he said.
Asked about the proposed formation of the Inter-Community Committee (ICC) to be led by the Kashmiri cleric Mirwaiz Umar Farooq that would ensure the return of Kashmiri Pandits to the valley, Koul said: “there is nothing like that to happen as I have seen such initiatives were taken earlier also”.
He said the Kashmiri Hindu would only come to Kashmir when he was accepted by the Muslims of the valley.
“The Kashmiri Pandits will not return to the valley unless the Muslims of Kashmir will accept them”, Koul remarked.
He said the return of the Kashmiri Pandits to the valley has to be decided by the clerics, the people, and the big leaders.
“When they say that they are going to accommodate a Kashmiri Pandit near their houses they (Pandits) will come to Kashmir without any fear”, the BJP leader said.
The BJP leader was in Srinagar celebrating the former Prime Minister of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee's anniversary with events honoring his legacy.
He said the Atal centenary will be observed till the end of the year with several programmes to be held across the country during which People who knew him will share memories, highlighting his leadership during challenging times
