UP has become number one in "atrocities" on Dalits in BJP rule: Akhilesh

Lucknow, Apr 21 (UNI) Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav on Monday alleged that Uttar Pradesh has become number one in the case of "atrocities" on Dalits during the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government.
In a statement issued here, Akhilesh said, "The question is why only those states like UP, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha, Maharashtra, which are ruled by the BJP, are involved in most of the attacks and crimes against Dalits, especially in the cases of harassment and misbehaviour of Dalit women."
He said that under the BJP government, "injustice and atrocities" against Dalits in UP are at their peak.
