Attacks on Hindus in Bengal 'politically sponsored violence': Sadhvi Prachi

Bareilly (UP), Apr 20 (UNI) Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP)'s leader Sadhvi Prachi on Sunday fiercely targeted West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and her government, alleging that the atrocities being committed against Hindus in West Bengal are not a coincidence but part of a deep conspiracy, in which the role of the state government is suspicious.
Talking to reporters at Bareilly Circuit House, Sadhvi Prachi described the attacks on Hindus as 'politically sponsored violence' and said that this is the result of the Mamata government's policy of appeasement.
She said, "Hindus are no longer safe in West Bengal. The Mamata Banerjee government is so involved in vote bank politics that it is openly allowing attacks on the faith of Hindus, their festivals, and religious freedom."
The VHP leader alleged that restrictions are being imposed on every Hindu festival, from Durga Visarjan to Ram Navami processions, while on the other hand minorities are being openly given exemption.
She described the Waqf Amendment Act passed by the central government as historic. Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, she said that this law is a befitting reply to those fundamentalists and their supporters who were misusing the Waqf Board for years.
Sadhvi Prachi said, "The conspiracy to capture properties in the guise of Waqf has now been exposed. This law will not only give justice to Hindus but will also strengthen the unity and integrity of India. The end of one-sided policies that have been going on for years has now begun."
She said that by opposing this law, the opposition is proving that it has still not come out of the politics of appeasement.
"The parties that are opposing this law are actually standing with the fundamentalists, not with the Constitution," she alleged.
Raising the demand for bringing a population control law in the country, the VHP leader said that this law has now become a necessity for a large and diverse country like India.
"If a strict population control law is not brought in time, then there can be a huge pressure on the social structure and resources of the country," she said.
She said that population imbalance spreads animosity in the society and can also endanger the internal security of the country.
She advocated the implementation of the two-child policy and said that this policy should be implemented rising above religion, caste or community.
Sadhvi Prachi also raised the issue of women power (Nari Shakti) and nationalism. She said that the women of India have now awakened, and they are not limited to the house only.
She said, "We now have to prepare such a generation that is ready to protect religion, country and culture. Our children should go to temples, read scriptures and know the truth of history".
She said that Hindu women should take arms training to protect themselves so that they can protect themselves in any emergency.
