Condolence meeting at SP office on terror attack

Lucknow, Apr 23 (UNI) A meeting to condole the death of tourists in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir was held on Wednesday at the Samajwadi Party (SP) state headquarters under the chairmanship of party president Akhilesh Yadav.
Condemning the terrorist incident in Jammu and Kashmir, two minutes of silence was observed and prayers were offered for the peace of the souls of the deceased.
Akhilesh said that the horrific pictures of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir are heart-wrenching. "This attack is condemnable from every point of view," he said.
He said that the best medical services and facilities of the country should be immediately ensured for the speedy treatment of the injured. "Heartfelt prayers for everyone's health and life," he said.
The SP chief said that the central government first needs to ensure an environment of security, only then the lives of local residents and tourists can remain safe.
SP national vice-president Kiranmay Nanda, MP Rajiv Rai, Neeraj Maurya, former minister and MLC Rajendra Chaudhary, MLA Iqbal Mehboob, Mehboob Ali, former minister Pawan Pandey, former Leader of Opposition Legislative Council Sanjay Lathar and others were present on the occasion.
