Process of deporting Pakistani citizens completed: UP DGP

Lucknow, Apr 26 (UNI) Director General of Police (DGP) of Uttar Pradesh, Prashant Kumar, on Saturday said that as per the directives of the central and state governments the process of deporting all categories of Pakistani citizens eligible to be deported from UP has been completed.
The DGP said, "In order to deal with the instructions of the Government of India and the Government of UP, the process of deporting all categories of Pakistani citizens eligible to be deported from the state has been completed. There is one Pakistani citizen remaining who will return to Pakistan on April 30."
He has issued guidelines to all zonal ADGs, Police Commissioners, ADG Railways, Security, Intelligence, SSF, IG ATS, all zonal IGs, DIGs and SSPs/SPs for effective security arrangements in view of the terrorist attack in Baisaran valley of Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, in view of the possibility of a malicious attempt by some anti-social and mischievous elements to spoil the atmosphere on social media platforms in the wake of the terrorist attack.
Kumar has directed that coordination with the officers of SSB in Maharajganj, Shravasti, Siddharth Nagar, Kheri, Pilibhit, Bahraich and Balrampur on the Nepal border should be ensured to maintain monitoring and vigilance at the check posts.
"Senior officers should immediately maintain high-level vigilance under their close supervision in all the districts and commissionerates of the state," he said.
He has said that effective police arrangements should be made by deploying additional police and PAC forces with anti-riot equipment under the leadership of gazetted officers in sensitive areas.
"Flag marches should be taken out with all security equipment along with police force under the leadership of gazetted officers," he said.
The DGP has said that police and administrative officers of the Commissionerate and district should jointly keep a close watch on the situation while constantly touring their respective areas and riot control exercises should also be ensured to deal with any adverse situation.
He has directed that surveillance should be ensured with drone cameras on sensitive areas and identified hot spots.
"All CCTV cameras should be kept in working condition and effective arrangements should be ensured to keep its feed safe. In view of any objectionable material being pasted at religious places, wall writing and defacement and poster checking parties should be taken out in the morning while ensuring effective night patrolling around all religious places," he said.
Kumar directed that for proper security arrangements of all airports, railway stations and bus stations of the state, effective intensive checking should be done under the leadership of gazetted officers while making adequate police arrangements.
He said that the current security arrangements at major religious places and historical places of their respective commissionerates and districts should be duly assessed and overall security arrangements should be ensured accordingly.
"Proper security arrangements of important public government institutions and public personalities of the commissionerates and districts should be made as per the prescribed SOP," he said.
The DGP directed that proper arrangements should be ensured by the districts and commissionerates so that there is no chaos during media coverage by editors or journalists of daily newspapers and media workers.
"Proper security arrangements should be ensured for Kashmiri students, tourists and business vendors in the state so that no untoward incident of any kind happens with them," he said.
He also directed that specially strong security arrangements should be made at all the malls, cinema halls, multiplexes, entertainment places and all crowded places of the commissionerates and districts.
"100 percent police verification of hotels, 'dharamshalas', guest houses, new tenants must be ensured," he said.
Kumar said that radicals and anti-social elements should be identified at the local police station level and kept under strict surveillance and vigilance.
"Continuous vigilance should be kept on all social media platforms, any kind of inflammatory and misleading post should be immediately refuted and effective action should be ensured against the person posting it," he said.
He also directed that all Commissionerates and district in-charges should make their local intelligence system more effective and active and on receiving useful information, all concerned should be informed.
"Strategic places should be identified and an effective police reserve should be arranged there to deal with any emergency situation," he added.
