Disabled rights forum to stage protest on May 13, demanding social security and policy reforms

Hyderabad, May 3 (UNI) The National Forum for the Rights of the Disabled (NPRD) has announced a protest at the office of the Director of the Disabled Welfare Department in Malakpet on May 13, demanding comprehensive social security and welfare measures for persons with disabilities in Telangana.
State General Secretary M Adivaya, along with other NPRD representatives, submitted a memorandum listing 48 demands to the Director B Sailaja.
Key demands include amending the job roster to ensure placement of physically challenged individuals within the first ten positions, setting up a special commission for disability welfare, increasing the number of self-employment units, and implementing 5 per cent reservations in all government schemes.
