JNTUK VC briefs AP Governor on 11th convocation arrangements

Kakinada, Mar 17 (UNI) Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada Vice Chancellor Prof CSRK Prasad on Monday called on Andhra Pradesh Governor and University Chancellor Justice S Abdul Nazeer at Raj Bhavan in Vijayawada and briefed him on the arrangements for the forthcoming 11th convocation of JNTUK.
It was the first meeting of Vice Chancellor with the Governor after assuming charge.
During the meeting, the Vice Chancellor briefed the Governor on the ongoing developmental activities and academic issues in the University campus.
Justice Nazeer told the Vice Chancellor that the JNTUK has special recognition as the premier institution and asked him to take steps for further improving its image.
He also asked the Prof Prasad to expedite the ongoing developmental works including the buildings and other basic infrastructure facilities.
The Governor advised the Vice Chancellor to encourage the teachers, research scholars and PG students to take up more research projects in technical fields.
