Hyderabad, Mar 15 (UNI) BRS MLA Harish Rao has urged Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar to reconsider the suspension of party member Jagadish Reddy.
Addressing the Assembly after its commencement on Saturday, Harish Rao emphasised that Jagadish Reddy’s remarks were not intended to insult the Speaker.
Harish Rao highlighted BRS’s unwavering support for Speaker Prasad during his election, noting that party chief K Chandrashekar Rao consistently instructs members to treat the Speaker with respect. He further stated that BRS members hold the Speaker in high regard.
Clarifying that Jagadish Reddy did not address the Speaker in a disrespectful manner, Harish Rao pointed out that Reddy would have personally explained his stance if he had not been suspended.
He appealed to the Speaker to provide Jagadish Reddy with an opportunity to speak in the House and requested a reconsideration of the suspension.
