Spices Board celebrates 38th Foundation Day

Kochi, Feb 26 (UNI) Reaffirming its commitment for export promotion of Indian spices, the Spices Board celebrated its 38th Foundation Day at its headquarters here on Wednesday.
As part of the 38th Anniversary celebration, the Board conducted a nationwide campaign on ‘Clean and Safe Spices’ to sensitize the stakeholders on the sanitary and phytosanitary practices to be followed at various stages of production, processing, value addition and export of spices.
Ms P Hemalatha, IAS, Secretary, Spices Board, who inaugurated the event, also launched 'Spices India’ outlet of Flavourit Spices Trading Limited, an enterprise under the Spices Board facilitating special sales counters for organic spices.
