Ensure uninterrupted drinking water supply during festivals: Telangana Minister to officials

Hyderabad, Mar 28 (UNI) Telangana Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Dhanasari Anasuya Seethakka on Friday emphasised the need for effective management of drinking water supply during the upcoming festivals to ensure that villages do not face shortages for at least three consecutive days.
Chairing a review meeting at the Mission Bhagiratha office in Erra Manzil, the Minister assessed the district-wise drinking water supply with Mission Bhagiratha engineers, including Chief Engineers (CE), Superintending Engineers (SE), Executive Engineers (EE), and Deputy Engineers (DE).
Minister Seethakka directed officials to submit regular field reports and instructed Mission Bhagiratha engineers to be on the ground at least four days a week to monitor and address any water supply issues. To enhance operational efficiency, the government has formed mandal-level committees comprising MPDOs, Intra AEs, Grid AEs, and Mandal Special Officers to coordinate efforts and prevent disruptions. A special budget has also been allocated for emergencies.
