Telangana achieves record power demand of 17,162 MW without disruption

Hyderabad, Mar 20 (UNI) In a significant achievement, Telangana has set a new record in power consumption by reaching a maximum demand of 17,162 MW.
Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Finance, Planning, and Power, Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu, announced this milestone on Thursday, highlighting the state's commitment to delivering uninterrupted and quality power supply.
The record demand was registered on March 20, at 4:39 PM, surpassing the previous high recorded on March 8, 2024, during the 2023-24 period. Despite the surge, the state government has successfully maintained a consistent and reliable electricity supply across all sectors.
