AP Guv lays foundation stone for Red Cross headquarters office in Vijayawada

Vijayawada, Mar 17 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Governor Justice S Abdul Nazeer, who is also the President of the Indian Red Cross Society, AP State Branch, laid the foundation stone for the construction of a new State Branch headquarters office building at Gandhinagar here on Monday.

The office of the Indian Red Cross Society, Andhra Pradesh State Branch was shifted from Hyderabad to Vijayawada in 2019, after the State bifurcation and it has been functioning from the NTR District Branch office premises since then.

The proposed new headquarters office building is being constructed with an estimated project cost of Rs.4 crores, in an area of 15,000 sft consisting of stilt plus five floors.

Dr. M. Hari Jawaharlal, Secretary to Governor, Dr. G. Lakshmisha, Collector, NTR District, S.V. Raja Sekhara Babu, Vijayawada Police Commissioner, Dhyana Chandra H M, Vijayawada Municipal Commissioner, Y.D. Ramarao, Chairman, A.K. Parida, General Secretary and CEO, P. Jagan Mohan Rao, Vice-Chairman, P. Ramachandra Raju, Treasurer of IRCS Andhra Pradesh State Branch were also present on the occasion.
