Telangana Governor unveils portrait of Bharat Ratna P V Narasimha Rao at Raj Bhavan

Hyderabad, June 27 (UNI) In a dignified ceremony held at the historic Raj Bhavan, Governor of Telangana, Jishnu Dev Varma, today, unveiled the portrait of Bharat Ratna P V Narasimha Rao, former Prime Minister of India, on the eve of his birth anniversary.
Paying floral tributes to the legendary leader, the governor hailed Narasimha Rao as a “statesman-scholar” who played a pivotal role in shaping modern India. Lauding his visionary leadership, the Governor recalled Rao’s transformative contributions to economic liberalisation, foreign policy, and the education sector, describing him as a leader of exceptional intellect and national commitment.
On the occasion, the Governor also announced that a portrait of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee would be unveiled at Raj Bhavan on Kargil Vijay Diwas, on July 26. A special ceremony to honour Kargil War veterans will also be organised on that day to commemorate the valour and sacrifice of India’s armed forces.
