Uttam, Mahesh Goud hail fine rice scheme as historic welfare reform

Hyderabad, Apr 11 (UNI) Telangana's flagship free fine rice distribution scheme was hailed as a “game changer” by Civil Supplies Minister Capt. N Uttam Kumar Reddy and TPCC President M Mahesh Kumar Goud during a high-level Zoom meeting on Friday.
Joined by senior Congress leaders from across the state, the duo reviewed the ongoing Rabi procurement process and discussed the successful rollout of the welfare initiative, an official statement said.
Calling the initiative a national benchmark in food security, the leaders praised the overwhelming public response and reaffirmed that the scheme, introduced by the Congress government, is here to stay.
