Parameshwara claims power struggle as speculation

Bengaluru, Apr 3 (UNI) Amid speculation over a potential change in Karnataka’s Chief Ministership, Home Minister G Parameshwara on Thursday dismissed reports of internal discord within the ruling party, asserting that while minor differences exist, there are no significant issues or confusion.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s meeting with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has intensified discussions about a possible leadership change later this year. Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar and Parameshwara himself are seen as key contenders for the post, fueling speculations of a power struggle within the party.
When asked whether the Chief Minister’s meeting with Rahul Gandhi would resolve the internal differences, Parameshwara acknowledged that minor disagreements are natural but denied the existence of major conflicts.
