Terror attack victims brought back to Karnataka

Bengaluru, Apr 24 (UNI) Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya on Thursday morning accompanied the families of the victims of the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, as they returned to the city with the mortal remains of their loved ones.

The body of Manjunath was sent to his hometown in Shivamogga, while that of Bharath Bhushan was taken to his residence in Mathikere. As per the wishes of the family, the body of the third victim from Karnataka, Madhusudan, was transported to his native place in Nellore via Chennai.

At the Kempegowda International Airport here, Surya and Union Minister of State for Railways V Somanna paid their respects and stood in solidarity with the bereaved families. The leaders offered condolences and assured support during what they termed a deeply painful moment for Karnataka.

Further arrangements for the victims’ last rites are being coordinated by district authorities in consultation with the respective families, officials said.
