Muda scam: Karnataka HC issues notice to Siddaramaiah, wife on plea seeking CBI probe

Bengaluru, Apr 16 (UNI) The Karnataka High Court on Wednesday issued notice to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and his wife Parvathy on an appeal seeking a CBI probe into the alleged Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) scam.
The development is significant as it places the sitting Chief Minister and his spouse under direct judicial scrutiny, revives the demand for a central agency investigation, and adds political weight to the controversy amid heightened public and political attention.
The notice was issued by a division bench comprising Chief Justice NV Anjaria and Justice KV Aravind, acting on an appeal filed by one Snehamayi Krishna, a whistleblower. The appellant has challenged a February 7 order by a single judge rejecting the plea to transfer the probe from the Lokayukta police to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The bench directed that the notice be made returnable on April 28.
