Hyderabad, May 10 (UNI) Union Minister and Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy performed special pujas at the Kanakadurga Ammavari temple in Basheerbagh, here on Saturday, invoking divine blessings for the courage, strength, and victory of Indian soldiers combating terrorism.
The atmosphere around the temple reverberated with powerful devotional slogans from devotees, including “Jai Shri Ram,” “Jai Ram Laxman Janaki,” “Jai Bolo Hanuman Ki,” and “Jai Bhavani, Jai Shivaji.”
Speaking to the media after the rituals, Reddy expressed heartfelt prayers for the safety and success of Indian warriors. “May the blessings of the goddess be upon the protection of the warriors fighting for the security of the country,” he said.
The Minister condemned the brutal killing of 26 innocent civilians by Pakistani terrorists in Pahalgam, highlighting the continued attempts by Pakistan to destabilise India by targeting its unity, integrity, and economic growth.
Recalling past terrorist attacks in Hyderabad—including those at Lumbini Park, Gokul Chat, and the Sai Baba Temple in Dilsukhnagar—he said such atrocities remain etched in the nation’s memory.
He emphasised a new era of response under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. “In the past, they used to kill and we used to die. Now, our soldiers are entering Pakistan, destroying terrorist bases in nine areas, and teaching them a lesson,” Reddy asserted.
Highlighting the heroism of the Indian Army, he criticised Pakistan for its continued aggression against both military and civilian targets and reiterated India's resolve to counter terrorism with strength.
Reddy called upon citizens from every walk of life—irrespective of caste, creed, or language—to support the armed forces and denounce terrorism. “Let us give moral and spiritual strength to our soldiers. I urge every Indian to worship in temples and pray for our protectors,” he added.
He also appealed specifically to the Telugu community to organize rallies across all districts, mandals, and villages to show solidarity with the Indian Army in its fight against terrorism.
