Chennai, Mar 13 (UNI) The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO)
on Thursday scripted a new history and achieved a significant milestone
in its space endeavour when it successfully undocked two mated Satellites
launched as part of the Spadex docking experimental Mission.
In a post oin X, ISRO said "Spadex Undocking Successful! ".
"Congratulations to India on this milestone! "
The key sequence of events were SDX-2 extension successful;
Capture Lever 3 released as planned; Capture Lever in SDX-2
disengaged and Decapture command issued in SDX-1 & SDX-2.
"FINALLY, SUCCESSFUL UNDOCKING! Congratulations,
Team ISRO!", it wrote.
Meanwhile, Union Minister for Science and Technolocy Dr Jitendra Singh
termed the undocking as unbelieavable and said Prime Minister Narendra
Modi's continuous patronage keeps the spirits soaring.
This successful undocking paves the way for smooth conduct of ambitious
future missions including the Bharatiya Antriksha Station, Chandrayaan 4
and Gaganyaan mission.
